Hole-In-The-Rock Trail, Halls Crossing, UT


 

Der Hole-In-The-Rock Trail beginnt in der Nähe von Halls Crossing, UT an der UT276. Dieser Trail sollte nicht mit der Hole-In-The-Rock Road in der Nähe von Escalante, UT verwechselt werden. Beide Routen führen an unterschiedlichen Seiten hinunter zum Lake Powell. Der hier beschriebene Trail ist extrem sehenswert. Wir sind ihn in zwei Tagen gefahren und haben einmal in der Nähe des Trailendes übernachtet, da es schon dunkel war, als wir von Grey Mesa heruntergefahren sind. Insgesamt muss man sagen, dass dieser Trail definitiv als schwierig einzustufen ist. Man ist außerdem sehr weit von der „Zivilisation“ entfernt.

Before we went on the trail in the morning, we came for one night at the campground in Halls Crossing...
...and enjoyed the views next morning.

To start the trail run, we had to go a little bit backward on pavement...
...and soon we hit the dirt.

At the beginning, it was an easy dirt road.
We stopped after a couple of miles and checked out those old cars.
